There is no fancy website, no elaborate marketing scheme, no accolades lining the walls, nothing to say, “This is a destination.” When you see the google listing, intrigue begins to bubble though, 207 reviews with an average of 4.8 stars and a price point at $100 plus. People spending $100 per person on a meal certainly aren’t scared to leave a negative review. So, after reading the google listing you call the reservation line to hear Chef and Owner/Operator Regina Aamacha (or a family member) answer their personal cell phone and confirm your reservation.
You arrive and try the front door which doesn’t open, but find the back door is the answer. After walking in you find yourself in a small dining room with about 12 seats and no table further than 12 inches apart. In the sold out, dimly lit, room adorned with imported wines, classic rock posters, and décor that reminds you of your grandmother’s living room, you begin to break bread within arm’s length of complete strangers and realize you are the only person who is here for your first time.
