September 15 1-3pm A reception honoring the cats of Highlawn Inn with author Kellie Gorman of Catster Magazine.  Kellie will be signing the Highlawn Inn article and Give Purrs a Chance will be there with pictures of the cats available for adoption.  Reservations required.  Highlawn Inn, 304-258-5700.

September 22 4pm Zombie Walk. Pre party til 5:30 than Zombie Walk through town with games, music, contests, Thriller Dance. Bring a jar of peanut butter and be entered in a raffle.  $5 benefits Youth Leadership Academy. Morgan County Partnership.

September 23 1-4pm Honky Tonkin’ at the Troubadour.  Live Music, pork bbq, and sides all for $10. @ Troubadour Lounge to benefit the Morgan County Vietnam Memorial.

September 29 1pm 4th Annual Octoberfest. Polka Band “The Rhinelanders” opens the event at 1 pm with a Keg Tapping Ceremony and then continues their fun, interactive music throughout the afternoon. Bavarian Beer and Food will be featured all day and ADMISSION IS FREE! Must be 21 or older to participate in Oktoberfest activities. There will be contests and giveaways throughout the day as well as a Cornhole Tournament sponsored by CNB Bank. The Country Inn.  304-258-1200.
